Our dear "Charky." Looking back, she certainly has an impressive record, not only did she produce a fantastic litter of which 7 titled, she also proved her excellent qualities in the show ring.

Dam of Am Ch. Aust.Grand Ch. Tahkira Hell Raiser. She titled at only 19 months of age against tough metropolitan competition. This title would have been earned even sooner if not for her desire to just have fun, even as an adult she would still have the occasional pirouette in the ring!

This girl could demonstrate the aloofness and discipline required from the breed when she needed to, proving this by being a Multiple All breeds Best in show winner. Charky also has the honour, of being the youngest Afghan ever to achieve SA Top Afghan of the year award. She won this in 1987 and was Opp Sex in 1988 & 1989 defeated only by her litter brother SBIS Ch Tahkira Hot Gossip. She was again awarded SA Top Afghan in 1990. Both Ash and Charky held the number 1 & 2 position over a 5-year period.

'Charky' always managed to put some humour into showing, somehow reminding us that we were supposed to be enjoying ourselves. She certainly had a way of putting smiles on the faces of exhibitors and judges alike. Until we meet again.
